The autobiography of Professor Tran Van Khe, one of the greatest masters
of Vietnamese traditional music, who passed away on June 24, will be
reprinted for the sixth time on the occasion of his birthday on July 24.
Professor Tran Van Khe, a world-renowned ethnomusicologist specialising
in traditional Vietnamese music, died yesterday at Gia Dinh Hospital in
HCM City. He was 95 years old.
Opinion about the use of Western musical notation in the teaching of
